Nature Cleanup at Ngāmotu Beach (meeting on the grass area, opposite Bayly Road) - Friday 7 June, 10am - 12pm (it is fine to be late!)
Come and help us clean the beautiful Ngāmotu Beach and help support World Ocean Day!
This cleanup is organised by Taranaki Conservationists and Sustainable Taranaki.
This event is family and young kids-friendly! Your pēpi and tamariki are welcome!
ALL WELCOME! Are you not able to walk for too long? Are you late? Can you only join for 30min? It is ALL GOOD! Please join us as we do our very best to make cleanups accessible to ALL!
10am (or later) - Meet on the grass area opposite Bayly Road (see the map below) for a briefing. Look for the Sustainable Taranaki flag!
BYO gloves and buckets if possible but we'll provide some if needed!
11:30am (or earlier) finish by 12pm - Return to the start to drop off all trash collected and sort into recycling, compost, glass and landfill.
No RSVP required! Just show up!
Meeting point:
The aim of this event is:
- to clean this location the best we can
- to divert trash from the landfill
- to engage and educate our community about waste and recycling
- to create a fun and meaningful event for families to connect with the environment and take action towards bettering sustainability/conservation
