Dune Plants Planting Day(Planting) at Te Tūāhu/Sandy Bay, Opunake - Monday 13 May, 10am - 12pm

Come and help plant the sand dunes at Te Tūāhu/Sandy Bay.

This planting day is organised by Ngāti Tara Oaonui Sandy Bay Society

MEET: 10am, Monday 13th May: At the main gate to Ngāti Tara Sandy Bay.

Plants are ready in predetermined areas, inside rabbit proof fenced areas, by volunteers.

BYO: own spades, gloves, lunch, fluids, appropriate dress.

Leaders: will direct you to a site for planting, demonstrate the correct planting method, and answer your questions.

Can you help? We require Chicken wire netting (not plastic) 1 or 2 50+ meter rolls.

Group ratio 4:1 Students to work alongside OMV environmental team (thanks again for your support!!)
