Upcoming planting this weekend:
This weekend is all about planting out the Urenui Gully.
Saturday is for placing out the trees in position and Sunday is the planting.

August 26th Saturday: (placing the trees out only) Urenui Gully Project, Urenui
HELPERS NEEDED TO:
Place out the 500 trees in the dugout platforms.
LOCATION: 42 Main North Road Urenui (SH3) approx. 100m north of Urenui Township on
the right. It's safer to drive past and turn into the driveway on the same side of the road
TIME: 1 – 2.30pm AFTERNOON TEA: 2.30pm. WHAT TO BRING: a spade, gloves, sun hat, sunscreen, drink bottle, sturdy footwear.
August 27th Sunday: Urenui Gully Project, Urenui
This project is in its 5th year. Over 500 trees are going to be planted on this day.
FITNESS LEVEL: The site is easily accessible but given trees need to be planted on the hillsides you'll need to be a bit sturdy on your feet.
LOCATION: 42 Main North Road Urenui (SH3) approx. 100m north of Urenui Township on the right. It's safer to drive past and turn into the driveway on the same side of the road
FREE LUNCH: 12.30pm. Vege soup, buns, and cuppa provided, bring a small plate and cutlery so we can have a rest, kai and catch-up at the end.
TIME: 10 -1pm H&S BRIEFING 10.15am FREE LUNCH: 12.30
JOBS: Planting trees. We won’t be adding mulch mats or installing trees guards this year… just planting. All trees will be placed out the day prior.
WHAT TO BRING: a spade, gloves, sun hat, sunscreen, long pants and long sleeve top, drink bottle, and wear sturdy footwear.
The weather is looking good so far so if we can get nice team of planters this job will be super satisfying.
