Seedsavers Taranaki Autumn/Winter Gathering

Kia ora koutou,

I look forward to sharing my garden with the seed savers community in March . We have a quarter acre section in Egmont village that my husband and I bought coming up six years ago. When we arrived it was a bare section with only three small citrus trees on it. Overtime we have established gardens and planted fruit trees. I enjoy growing from seed and I love the crop swap community as it encourages me to connect with my passion of growing food and being resourceful; something that usually falls to the bottom of the priority list as a full time working mum of three. I love eating from my garden it tastes so much better and makes healthy eating affordable.
Over the years my gardening approach has moved from focusing on growing food to also appreciating flowers more and now my gardens are just a real mixture of flowers and vegetables, which I really love.
See you all at the end of March!

Ngā mihi

Please bring along afternoon tea.

The Seedsavers seed bank will be at the gathering.

Please bring along seeds to swap, this enables Seedsavers can continue with lots of seeds available around the Mounga. Heritage seed is appreciated, this being seed that has not crossed with another variety of the same species. If you are not sure about this we can help you on the day. Also please bring along any pot luck seed as we accept this as it is still food. This is seed that may or may not have crossed. A gold coin is also appreciated for Seedsavers

There will be moon calendars @ $11 each and Koanga Save Your Own Seeds Booklet $15. Both of these will need to paid with cash.

The beautiful photo is of Cherie's and her families garden.
