TARANAKI SCHOOLS' UPCYCLING COMPETITION AUGUST 2023
(Term 2 - Term 3)

- Mitre10 Vouchers for winning class/school.
- Certificates and spot prizes for finalists (Prize Giving Event Friday 25th August 2023)
- Open to primary, intermediate and secondary schools across Taranaki with two categories for entry: Primary/Intermediate or Secondary
- Entries open from 1st May until midday Friday the 18th of August

To register your entry please email the following to tours@sustainabletaranaki.org.nz before Midday Friday the 18th of August 2023

> Category (Primary-Intermediate or Secondary):
> Name of School (Class/Group):
> Names & Ages of Students:
> Relevant digital documents (photos, videos, etc).

Rules of entry into the competition:

>The majority of the entry must be made from recycled, upcycled or reused materials (No more than 50% can be new materials).
>Collection of artifacts as evidence of process (Photos, Videos, Receipts, Powerpoint, Youtube, etc.)
>Young people must be the ones to do the work.
>Before and after photos must be provided.

Judging Criteria:

> Ratio of new to used/recycled/upcycled materials
> Design & Planning
> Craftsmanship
> Evidence

Prize Giving Event Friday 25th August 2023 - Location & Time TBD

Entries close midday Friday 18th August 2023 (Term3)
