After-work Beach cleanup at Paritutu Centenial Park (Back Beach) - Tuesday 19 September - 4pm (it is fine to be late!)
Come and help us clean the Paritutu Centenial Park and Back Beach!
This cleanup is organised by Taranaki Conservationists and Sustainable Taranaki.
This event is family and young kids-friendly! Your pēpi and tamariki are welcome!
4pm (or later) - Meet at the top parking of Paritutu - Centenial Park (see poster for the location or see on Google Maps here) for a briefing. Bring your own gloves and buckets if possible but we'll provide some if needed!
6:30pm (or earlier) - Meeting back to drop off all the trash collected (recycling and landfill will be separated) and discuss with Dave, our Zero Waste eductator!
Dave, the Junction's Zero Waste Educator, will engage will all of us about reducing waste and how we can all do better!
No RSVP required! Just show up!
The aim of this event is:
- to clean this location the best we can
- to divert trash from the landfill
- to engage and educate our community about waste and recycling
- to create a fun and meaningful event for families to connect with the environment and take action towards bettering sustainability/conservation
