Intro to Zero Waste Construction for Home Renovation and New Builds with Ovila (Sustainable Taranaki)

  • Sustainable Taranaki 28 Brooklands Park Drive New Plymouth, Taranaki, 4310 New Zealand (map)

Ovila has recently completed a Masters of Construction specializing in a Sustainable Built Environment from Massey. Now, he works with Sustainable Taranaki to reduce construction waste, driven by his passion for creating a sustainable built environment.

This workshop will unpack opportunities for waste minimisation through sustainable construction practices. Ovila will share a wealth of knowledge encouraging people engaging in home renovations or an entirely new build to design out waste at the outset of their project, identifying opportunities for better management of materials during your build and local opportunities for any building waste to be diverted from landfill at the completion of your project.

If you are looking at home renovations or planning a new build and are interested in exploring sustainable practices this is the ideal workshop to get you thinking and help build an understanding of how we can begin to address the problem of construction waste in Aotearoa.
