Sorry folks this workshop is SOLD OUT!
Family Friendly Upcycled Tuft Rug Workshop (afternoon session)
Come and learn how to upcycle waste fabrics with Sam from Stitch Up Society. We encourage you to bring your old clothing or waste fabrics to upcycle into tuft rugs.
In this workshop, you and your child will learn everything you need to know to create upcycled tuft rugs at home.
You will create a tool from a common household item, cut up waste fabrics and upcycle them into a small sample tuft rug to take home. Once you’ve completed your sample rug you will have mastered this zero-waste technique and can spend the rest of the school holidays sourcing materials and upcycling full-sized tuft rugs for your friends and family!
This is a hands-on workshop all children must be accompanied by an adult (children who are too young to handle scissors may need help from their accompanying adult, otherwise you are free to participate alongside your older ‘independent’ children).
$5 Junction Reuse shop voucher is given for each ticket purchased (ticket per child no charge for accompanying adults or under 5s).
Please note:
