Sustainable Backyard Permaculture Course

A one-day course comprising theory and practical sessions to expand your garden into growing through the seasons and incorporating chooks and bees, as well as getting food production into every small space.

You will learn:

  • Keeping Backyard Chooks - recognizing chook health and using pest and disease remedies (practical)

  • Backyard Bee Keeping - talking through the equipment, beeswax wraps demo, honey tasting, bee products (practical)

  • Small Space Gardening - building a small space structure (practical)   

  • Growing Through the Seasons -building covered raised garden beds (practical) 

This course is facilitated by our Sustainable Garden Expert, Mieke Verschoor . Mieke is is a talented organic horticulture tutor who loves to share her knowledge and passion for gardening, permaculture, and sustainability.

1 day course – Cost $100 per person.  Places are limited to 15. Cost includes morning and afternoon tea.  Practical and theory sessions based at Korito Garden in New Plymouth.
