Survey winners

Thank you for sharing your valuable insights

We’re grateful to learn about your preferences, barriers, and motivators for living sustainably.

What we can share so far:

  • 733 people from all demographics in Taranaki shared their opinions

  • Our community’s involvement with Sustainable Taranaki over the last 2 years is influencing people’s lives

  • Areas we can improve on and key topics of interest to you

  • People want to engage more to prioritise sustainability

  • Costs remain a powerful barrier and motivator, followed by feeling like we are making an impact on the environment

  • Some highlights from our community:

“I really appreciate how the Facebook group enables us to pool our knowledge and questions. It helps to be able to actively participate and feel like I can contribute something to issues that really concern me. It feels good to know there’s a community of like-minded people out there.”

“I think you do a great job. People just need lots of easy-to-understand information and easy-to-use tools to help them see what impact small changes can make.”

This survey provides feedback for a 3-year study funded by TOI Foundation that focuses on how to promote positive change in our community. Check out the 2020 baseline study results.
