Volunteer this Summer & be part of something BIG!
Taranaki comes alive over summer with a huge number of outdoor events and concerts. Rain, hail or shine we have a strong support base of volunteers and fundraisers who get out and do the mahi of helping the public know what can be recycled or composted. It is not always a straightforward choice of which bin to put your takeaway coffee cup or your tomato sauce-covered hot chip container. That is why volunteers and fundraisers are there to help the public and show you where to put your waste.
Our volunteers and fundraisers are also there to have fun and soak up the atmosphere. They get to watch the event for free and meet other like-minded people. Our volunteers get some kai at the event and our fundraisers get a contribution to their upcoming trip or competition that they are saving for. It is a win-win situation for all!
We need more awesome volunteers and fundraisers over this Summer! We have 5 weeks of the incredible Festival of Lights at Pukekura Park. The light installations are world class and there is a huge range of entertainment on most nights. The Bowl concerts you could volunteer at are Rock the Bowl, L.A.B, Stan Walker and Friends and A Timeless Summer.
We have volunteering opportunities for everyone. If you aren’t into crowds we always need help to clean up after an event, wash reusable crockery and to sort waste. We also have family-friendly events like The Seaside Markets or Christmas at the Bowl.
