Who is Let’s Compost and why do we offer these workshops?
Let’s Compost aims to inspire and support people to reduce food and garden waste going to landfills, turn it into a valuable resource for the garden and return the nutrients to the soil.
We offer home composting workshops to the community.
These are often based on existing networks, to help foster continuing support afterwards.
With the support of New Plymouth District Council’s Waste Levy Fund, the workshops are able to be offered free of charge, with a $40 discount per household available on the cost of a compost system after attending a workshop.
Please note that these workshops are not suitable for children.
How much do compost systems cost once I participate in a composting workshop?
You can select the right option(s) for you and see all options here: https://www.sustainabletaranaki.org.nz/buy-your-bin
All participants receive a $40 discount once they attend a workshop. This is valid for 4 weeks after the workshop takes place.
You can pick up your composting system from the Envirohub at 28 Brooklands Drive next to the Zoo.
How do I find out more?
